Hunter's Lodge
Originally built in the mid 90s, Fort D'Acre's Hunter's Lodge was primarily used for foreign hunting and safari clients. In recent years, following exstensive renovations, Hunter's Lodge welcomes both local and international leisure travellers all year round. Whether it's a romantic getaway, family vacation, a wedding weekend or solo escape, the magnificent views of the Indian Ocean and Great Fish River Mouth from Hunter's Lodge offer guests the opportunity to relax, escape the hustle and bustle of city life and soak up the simplicity of country living.
Set in a large, mature garden with sparkling swimming pool and plush sunloungers, Hunter's Lodge can accommodate up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms (4 en-suite). Guests can hire the Lodge for exclusive use on a wholehouse self-catering basis.
Open the large stack doors and bring the outside in. Dine out on the patio and watch the kids splash in the pool. Read a book in the hammock beneath the decades old Coral Trees or sit beside the bonfire and listen to the sounds of the 'bush TV' as the flames dance in the night air.
